Reggae has been an important part of my musical evolution. Since visiting Jamaica at 16 (thanks Mr. Daly!) I have been deeply influenced by the reggae groove. Dub is my latest favorite flavor when it comes to reggae's vast family of styles (and even dub has many varieties). I'm also just a sucker for covers, especially those that "fit" the original. One of the latest dub covers that has stuck in my brain case in the past few days is a cover of The Police tune "Spirits In A Material World" by DubXanne, a German outfit that took on the task of covering all Police tunes on their album "The Police in Dub".
